DEPORTED AND BARRED BY MALAYSIA
On 7 Jan 2016, on the invitation from BERSIH Malaysia, I was stopped by the Malaysian Police at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport and then DEPORTED back to Jakarta. These police officers said that I am suspected of going to intervening Malaysian political affairs.
Several weeks later I was informed by the Gwangju May 18 Memorial Foundation about the Prize they will announce to public in 2016. Then I nominated BERSIH to be the winner of that Gwangju Human Rights Prize for their great works in Malaysia in such difficult situation under repressive and corrupt regime of Najib. As I expected, BERSIH won the Gwangju Award.
Tonight, Maria Chin Abdullah, the Chair of BERSIH was about to leave KLIA to receive the award which is scheduled on May 18 in Gwangju, Republic of Korea.
Suddenly, Maria is BARRED from leaving the country for no reason, but by "instruction from Putrajaya"
#Shame on you Najib!
#Malaysia
#Solidarity
#Gwangju
#May18
